Tom Mower

Lead Practitioner

Tom has been delivering Forest School and outdoor education since 2010. While studying BSc Environmental Science, he realised that time in the woods was the perfect antidote to learning about the changes humans are inflicting on nature. Through Forest School, Tom realised that people building connections with nature is key to building a brighter and happier future for us all. Since then he’s been helping people of all ages across the north east to engage with nature in a way that’s meaningful and accessible to them.

In recent years, Tom’s family experiences of neurodivergent struggles have aligned with a professional journey giving him the skills and knowledge to support people in self-advocacy, self- and co-regulation and looking after your mental health. Tom is a Level 3 certified Forest School Leader, with a Certificate in Intensive Wellbeing Support in the Outdoors.

You’ll generally find Tom around a fire in the woods (in and out of work!), hiking the Northumbrian hills, or growing vegetables and relaxing with his pet chickens in his garden.
