Stuart is a qualified primary school teacher with 16 years experience and joined Stomping Grounds in September 2023, straight from the classroom. Stuart feels happiest outdoors and finds being in the woods a restorative, life-affirming experience. He is keen to offer young people the opportunity to feel this way, too.
Stuart’s interests outside work often centre on the outdoors as he enjoys a quiet day collecting sea glass, which he then uses to make artwork. He also enjoys whittling, not making anything in particular, just for the action and peace that comes with it. He can ride a unicycle (but not in the woods!) and is currently writing a children’s book
