Lucy Holyoak
Early Years Practitioner
Lucy is in her element when outdoors and surrounded by the natural world, especially if a campfire is involved and singing.
She started off working in the outdoor industry over 21 years ago, delivering all aspects of outdoor learning experiences in school centers and holiday parks.
Lucy learned about Forest School in 2009 when she came across the holistic approach to learning whilst completing her early years teaching degree. With her Qualified Teacher Status, she wanted to incorporate the Forest School approach every chance she could in her teaching role.
As a Level 3 Forest School Leader Lucy has worked in a few Forest School settings now, of which one was in a school with pupils that had additional needs. She has worked in day nurseries and schools and loves to focus on sustained shared thinking and igniting children’s imagination.
She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in Forest School and the benefits it can bring.
