Liz Gill
Early Years Practitioner
Liz has always loved being outdoors from being small. She has passed on this passion for nature to her pupils, the children she has looked after, and then to her own children. Liz loves the simple but special annual holiday to the Isle of Arran she takes with her family, where they walk, swim, and watch nature. Her garden has always been a wildlife haven and she enjoys watching the passing seasons, especially the spring when everything comes to life. Since home-educating two of her children, she has enjoyed spending more time in nature, including time spent with other like-minded individuals in the woods in all weathers. This time has reminded her of the restorative power of being amongst the trees and listening to the beautiful sounds of bird songs and rivers.
Liz initially taught year one and reception children after gaining a PGCE in Primary and Early Years Education. She then went on to train and work as an Educational Psychologist, before taking time out after the birth of her third child to focus on her family. Since then, Liz has worked as a childminder and home-educated two of her three children. She is really happy to be back doing what she loves best, working with young children outside in nature.
