Gateshead: Gibside

Our private woodland site is based within the grounds of National Trust Gibside with our base camp being nestled in an area of beech trees with a backdrop of ancient woodland including giant oak, sycamore and holly trees. We can watch the sheep in nearby fields, badgers are our nocturnal next door neighbours and we share this space with a barn owl, roe deer, a friendly robin and many more woodland living things.

About this Location

Here at National Trust Gibside we offer Ofsted Registered Early Years Childcare for children aged 2-7 years old which we’ve coined ‘Stomping Grounds Forest Kindergarten’. Open Monday to Friday 9am-3pm during term times.

Families can use their Early Years Funding, Tax Free Childcare allowance, Childcare Vouchers and claim back through Universal Credit towards their childcare fees.
