Wellbeing at Forest School

The voices of Cared for Children – this project, funded by Comic Relief, worked alongside care experienced children providing meaningful and therapeutic Holiday Activity, whilst giving respite to Foster Carers in the North East.

With thanks to Northumberland Virtual Schools for their support and guidance during this project.

Children and Young People worked with Therapeutic Forest School Practitioners and Digital Media creators to find peace in nature and to share their experiences with a wider audience.

With thanks to Comic Relief, this projects aim was to amplify the voices of under represented groups, specifically care experienced children.

Their stories and voices were captured and shared via a video, which they co created alongside one of our practitioners. Their words share their feelings of quiet, calm, freedom, space, connection with nature and friendship whilst at Stomping Grounds.
